        I wasn't able to find dried limes in any of the stores near me. This is a decent brand that I have used in the past and they usually are of reliable quality. This was a good size bag for the price, as it had to be shipped to me. Worked perfect for my stew with good flavor.

        I love trying out new ingredients. Used in Persian and Iraqi dishes, these black limes add a lovely citrus flavor and aroma. Could u sub with fresh limes? Oh probably, but I’m glad overall that I tried these. You’d need to adjust amounts fresh vs dried. Excellent in stews and rice. For best flavor, pound to powder in mortar and pestle and remove any seeds.
